SXSW’s French Tech Club 2015 will be at the French Legation!

“The French Tech Club has published an initial itinerary of their program during the 2015 SXSW”, announced the French American Business Council of Austin, sharing the link to the French Tech at SXSW’s website: FrenchTechClub.com.

French Tech Club 2015“Our purpose is to create a unique event for the festival attendees to discover French Savoir-faire, French Touch and French Tech, in a “havre de paix” , a quiet place to enjoy France,” explain the organizers.

What’s most exciting for me is that, “this year, we will be located on the French Legation Museum grounds,” announced the French Tech Club. The old French legation is going to be French again for a week!

The full program hasn’t been published yet, but here’s what we’ll find at the French Legation from March 15 to March 20:

  • “A stage, providing an area for conferences, meetings and sharing time during the day and a festive area around film screenings and live entertainment during the evening
  • A showroom which will host the best of digital, music and movies, with many connected devices and digital artwork
  • A media room with studios where de the best French media will write, shoot, record and broadcast daily
  • A popup gourmet / gastronomic restaurant and many concession areas and bars.”

Regarding that last aspect, two Chefs from Austin’s sister city in France, Angers, “are going to offer a unique experience: bringing their most delicious food and talented teams to Austin,” promise the organizers. But that’s for just “50 lunches and 50 dinners”, or “100 lucky people”, so the public is invited to “be one of the luck few, and book their table ASAP! You can see a menu sample (and the corresponding price tags…) online.
