Heard of New York City French pastry chef Dominique Ansel‘s cronuts but never had the opportunity to taste them or the time to wait in line at his Soho store to get one? Well, if you’re a South by Southwest badge holder, tonight might be your chance: PR company Allison & Parters is bringing Ansel’s cronuts to Austin tonight at midnight at its late night saloon party.
“And that’s not all”, announced SXSW. “They are bringing Dominque Ansel himself to SXSW to recreate his confectionary perfection along with a special dessert created just for the event.”
So if you’ve got a badge, sign up and come to InterContinental Stephen F. Austin hotel at 701 Congress Avenue from 12am-2am to have a drink and the first cronuts ever distributed in Austin. As I recently wrote in French Morning‘s, Dominique Ansel’s creation has been copied in Houston and El Paso, but not in the capital of Texas.
